Eligibility Rules

 

MOMS Rule changes that effect us in 2011

Clause 15.2.2.2 Front brake caliper bolts are to be lockwired in the tightened position.

Clause 15.1.3.2 Knee and boot scrapers that spark when dragged on the ground are forbidden.

Rule 15.2.3.4 All lateral covers/engine cases containing oil and which could be in contact with the ground during a crash, MUST be protected by a second cover made from composite materials, type carbon or Kevlar. Plates and/or bars from aluminium or steel are also permitted. All these devices must be designed to be resistant against sudden shocks and must be fixed properly and securely. Bonding alone is not a suitable method of mounting. ( This applies to both 2 & 4 strokes. ).

  1. CLASSES: One class combining:
    • 110cc Air Cooled 2 Strokes.
    • 85cc Watercooled 2 Strokes (Power valves OK).
    • 80cc Moriwaki Sports Road Bikes.
    • 160cc 4 valve single cylinder 4 Strokes.
    • 200cc 2 valve single cylinder 4 Strokes.
    • 160cc 2 valve 4 Stroke twin cylinder

All engines allowed NIL% capacity tolerance.

Open to any Grade of Rider.

  1. ENGINES: any engine conforming to capacity and valve constraints under

“Classes” and to be production based.  

  1. FORKS: Any diameter, conventional or upside down.
  1. FRAMES: to be manufactured or production based (i.e. No handmade frames)
  1. BRAKES: open.
  1. TYRES: are to be readily available.  Slicks, Intermediates and Wet Weather Race tyres permitted.

Tyres are to be as they left the manufacturer (i.e. No Regrooving).

  1. FUEL: as per M.O.M.S.

All other rules are as per “All Disciples” in the M.O.M.S.

SUPERLITE SPECIFICATIONS

ALL models and parts to be of “A.D.R.” design.

  1. ENGINES: to be of “A.D.R.” origin:-

    1. 110cc air cooled 2 stroke, and

    2. 160 cc air cooled, 2 valves per cylinder, 4 strokes,

    3. 125 cc water cooled, 4 strokes.

All engines allowed NIL% capacity tolerance.

  1. NO G.P. parts allowed, but production performance parts OK.

  1. BRAKES Front: single disc and maximum of 4 piston calliper.

  1. BRAKES Rear: drum or disc, maximum of 2 pistons.

  1. CDI Ignitions: from non ADR mass produced motorcycles allowed

 (i.e. 500 minimum made).

  1. GEAR BOXES: Maximum of 6 speeds from non ADR mass produced motorcycles allowed (i.e. 500 minimum made).

  1. ALL engines are to be naturally aspirated.

  1. FUEL: as per M.O.M.S.

  1. FORKS: Maximum diameter of chrome tube is 36mm, NO upside down forks will be allowed.

  1. TYRES: are to be “A.D.R./R.T.A.” approved.

  1. Follow parts open:

    1. Handle Bars

    2. Levers

    3. Brackets

    4. Throttle Assemblies

    5. Cables

    6. Hoses

    7. Footpegs

    8. Rear Shocks

    2. Temperature Sensors and

    3. Lap Timers to the retail value of $700.

No other form of electronic aids will be allowed (i.e. Speed shifters, data loggers etc).

STOCK CLASS SPECIFICATIONS

  • BIKES: “A.D.R.” models only.
    • 105cc Air Cooled 2 Strokes.
    • 125cc 4 Strokes.

All engines allowed NIL% capacity tolerance.

  • PARTS: to be of ‘O.E.M.” pattern.
  • ALL bikes to remain stock
  • Allowable modifications to rule #3….

a) Suspension:        Front Forks – internal modifications

                                                       Rear Shocks –can be from any other “A.D.R.”’bike.

                  b) Brakes:                     Front disc no greater than 275mm, single piston hydraulic

                                                       calliper from “A.D.R.” model.

                  c) Wheels:                     Wheel type as per manufacture (i.e. Spoke to remain spoke,

                                                        alloy to remain alloy.)

                                                        Rear wheel standard/stock.

                                                        Front wheel 18 inch diameter, maximum rim width 1.66 inch,

                                                        From “A.D.R.” model.

d) Engine:                Stock engine, stock ignition. Slotted cam sprockets are allowed to          

 correct valve timing.

                 e) Fuel System:        As per manufacture for that model. Carbies can be rejetted and Power Commander type

mapping system allowed.

                 f) Exhaust:      2 strokes allowed, Suzuki RG chambers in stock form, may be adjusted to suit frame.  4 strokes allowed,  re remanufactured exhaust.     

g) Fuel Tank:  to be of standard appearance (Dummy tank may be fitted).

h) Seat:  can be altered to duct-tail combo/number board.

i) Controls: open for modification.

j) Front Guards:  are compulsory, maximum height is to be 75mm, above the outside diameter of the front tyre.

k) All starters must be able to start the motor.

 

  • TYRES:  are to be “A.D.R./R.T.A.” approved.

 

  • FUEL: as per M.O.M.S.

 

  • All other rules are as per “ All Disciplines “ in the M.O.M.S.
